Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our Finance department. This role presents a unique chance to significantly influence a flourishing organization while collaborating closely with executive leadership. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cost accounting, budget management, and ERP systems, with a preference for familiarity with Epicor and Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Financial Accountant, your duties will include:

1. Overseeing all facets of our accounting functions, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
2. Developing and managing the operating budget to ensure alignment with the company’s financial objectives.
3. Applying your ERP expertise to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting processes.
4. Utilizing your cost accounting knowledge to deliver insightful analyses and reports on cost structures, thereby contributing to profitability.
5. Collaborating with the IT department to optimize the utilization of Epicor and Oracle, ensuring maximum benefit from these systems.
6. Preparing financial statements and reports for senior management, delivering clear and concise data to support informed decision-making.
7. Ensuring adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local tax regulations.
8. Assisting with both internal and external audits to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

1. A minimum of 5+ years in a senior accounting capacity, ideally within the finance sector.
2. A solid foundation in cost accounting, with demonstrated ability to analyze and report on cost structures.
3. Experience in preparing and managing operating budgets.
4. Proficiency in ERP systems, with specific experience in Epicor and Oracle being highly advantageous.
5. Advanced skills in Excel, including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and other complex functions.
6. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of presenting financial data in a clear and accessible manner.
8. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality in all work.
9. The capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
10. A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify potential challenges and implement effective solutions.
