Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Jobot. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of accounting and financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all general ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with all GAAP regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of any changes to these regulations.
  • Manage Union Payroll, including processing payments, maintaining records, and resolving any payroll-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain annual budgets, as well as conduct regular budget reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct financial forecasting to predict future revenue and expenditure trends and aid in financial planning.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Collaborate with finance team members and other departments to improve financial processes and systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Proven experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, GAAP, Union Payroll, account reconciliation, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-judged decisions.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
