Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Technician II to join our team at Sutter Health. As an Orthopedic Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing support to physicians and other healthcare providers in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of injury or disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow established orthopedic procedures to provide technical support to healthcare providers.
  • Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Document and assist patients' progress throughout their plan of care.
  • Support the functionality of the department by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance and setup as needed.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety in delivering optimal patient care.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider, ORTHO-Orthopedic Technician certification, OR Graduate of an orthopedic technician college, OR Military training as an orthopedic technician, OR equivalent experience
  • TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: General knowledge of orthopedic principles, procedures, views, and equipment, Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, Written and verbal communications skills, Well-developed time management and organizational skills, General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week. The job shift is days, and the schedule is Monday to Friday. There are no weekend requirements.
