As a Pediatric Care Coordinator at Current USA's Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our clients. This position requires a registered nurse with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Monitor students' daily attendance and provide timely interventions when necessary.">
  • Treat illnesses and injuries, record incidents, and notify parents promptly.">
  • Administer medications daily, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulations.">
  • Maintain up-to-date student records, including physicals, immunizations, and medical history.">
  • Administer Mantoux tests as required, maintain accurate records, and ensure staff adherence to protocols.">
  • Provide training on OSHA, universal precautions, and safety procedures as needed.">
  • Respond to medical emergencies within the building, administer first aid, and complete incident reports according to DDI policies.">
  • Order medical supplies and equipment as needed.">
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Current Registered Nurse license in New York State.">
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.">

Work Environment

  • ">
  • Must be able to adapt the environment to ensure child safety.">
  • Ability to safely transport a child weighing up to 30 pounds to a height of 3 feet for changing.">
  • Must be able to quickly move after a child up to 200 feet to prevent elopement.">
  • Must be able to position self or maneuver the classroom to facilitate instruction in both indoor and outdoor settings.">
  • Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and detect/respond to fire alarms.">
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs using handrails.">

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $67,600 - $81,600. Current USA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, in addition to opportunities for professional growth and development.
