About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Technology Facilitator to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Institute. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technology instruction and support to children and adults with special needs. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technology assessments and training programs for individuals with special needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to design and deliver technology-based instructional content.
  • Maintain and manage technology materials and equipment, ensuring seamless access and efficient use.
  • Serve as the Electronic Health Records (EHR) Super User, establishing user accounts, providing technical support, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of smart home technology solutions to enhance independence and reduce paper systems.
  • Lead and manage technology projects within the organization, leveraging expertise in virtual technology and smart devices.
  • Pursue grants and funding opportunities for technology initiatives and special projects.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Fluency in programming various devices, including iTouch, iPad, and similar devices.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between sites.
