Position Overview

As an Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist within the Army National Guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our munitions are consistently available and properly managed. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the inventory of ammunition and explosives, implementing accounting procedures to maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage ammunition supply stock control and accounting tasks through both automated systems and manual processes.
  • Maintain essential hardware and software systems, along with manual records necessary for effective stock control and accounting of munitions.

Skills Development

During your tenure, you will acquire a variety of skills, including:
  • Utilizing data browsers for automated processes related to ammunition issues, receipts, shipments, and transfers.
  • Creating and managing radio frequency identification system tags, along with generating relevant reports.
  • Uploading and downloading data using automated processing equipment, while performing essential individual and collective tasks.

Essential Skills
  • Strong interest in mathematical and scientific principles, including algebra and chemistry.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capacity to maintain composure under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits
