Position Summary

Halo Industries, Inc. is in search of a Facilities Systems Engineer with expertise in semiconductor clean room operations. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the facilities and infrastructure related to the company's wafer processing activities, ensuring optimal functionality, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate health and safety risks associated with Halo's facilities and processing equipment.
  • Design, implement, and maintain systems for power, deionized water, and Clean Dry Air (CDA) to ensure reliable delivery throughout the facility.
  • Assist in planning and executing the layout and installation of equipment and support systems, including exhaust and drainage.
  • Evaluate and improve hazardous material handling and monitoring systems in compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensure that processing stations have uninterrupted access to necessary utilities for optimal performance.
  • Address product quality concerns stemming from infrastructure inconsistencies.
  • Develop and enforce preventive maintenance protocols for all facilities and equipment.

The Facilities Systems Engineer will oversee Halo's internal maintenance team and collaborate with external contractors and service providers.

General Duties

  • Collect and analyze data, blueprints, and reports.
  • Determine specifications for facilities and equipment.
  • Analyze project costs and create budgets.
  • Design and supervise facility expansions and system implementations.
  • Assess operational systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop processing strategies and optimize resource distribution.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules and activities.
  • Supervise contractors performing maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Prepare compliance reports and documentation.

Work Environment

Must be prepared to work extended hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant facilities experience in a clean room setting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of construction principles and building processes.
  • Familiarity with applicable regulations and building codes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project management expertise.
