Job Summary

The Microsoft Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and generating sales opportunities and meetings with prospects through outbound calling activities and profiling accounts. This role is one of the first touchpoints for prospects of the sales cycle for Enterprise acquisition accounts.

This position requires reporting to the Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive account growth for SHI by profiling, qualifying, and prospecting into new accounts.
  • Cold calling and uncovering opportunities and meetings.
  • Updating profile information in the client relationship management system.
  • Contacting qualified prospects through email touches and phone conversations.
  • Actively staying on top of company, competition, and technology knowledge.
  • Scheduling introductory appointments for named sellers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1+ years of CRM experience.
  • 1+ years of sales and cold-calling experience.
  • 1+ years of Microsoft sales experience preferred.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in business productivity tools (Microsoft) - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Desire to learn, ability to accept feedback, and incorporate new strategies and ideas.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a team setting.
  • Effectively communicate complex subject matter – both verbally and written.
  • Desire to learn and a winning track record.
  • Continue mastering the basic concepts of professionalism, sales, and technology while building your brand.
  • A passion for hunting for new business (Cold Calling).

Certifications Required

  • Microsoft Certifications preferred.

Unique Requirements

  • The position requires 25% travel to attend conferences and visit customer sites.

Additional Information

This position's estimated annual pay range is $70,000 - $150,000, including a base salary and commission. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
