About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Amergis. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical support to our Speech Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in providing speech and language services, including screenings, assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with state regulations and professional standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation of client progress, including reports and updates to supervising Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists to adapt educational materials and equipment to meet the needs of clients.
  • May serve as an interpreter for clients and families who do not speak English, providing critical support in communication and language development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge in speech and language pathology.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a SLPA program with an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program.
  • Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract.
  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice.
  • One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred.
