Job Overview

Empirical Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Financial Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in helping us identify, design, and implement improved processes that transform our financial functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations Support
    • Assist clients with optimizing their accounting and financial reporting operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
    • Advise clients on technical accounting and internal control matters to mitigate risks and improve financial performance.
  • Financial Systems Implementation
    • Implement technical solutions to improve fiscal management activities, including financial statement compilation and reporting efforts.
    • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work processes and innovative approaches to completing scope of work.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Participate in team problem-solving efforts to resolve client issues and improve overall performance.
    • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products.
  • Professional Development
    • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients.
    • Support ad hoc requests, such as researching topical accounting/auditing issues and developing position papers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of accounting-related work experience in federal financial management, auditing, and supporting financial statement audit activities.
  • 1 year of experience with CGI Momentum financial, acquisition, and budget solution.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and people skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
