About the Role

The Associate Director of Development will play a key role in cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of major and principal gift donors to support The Nature Conservancy's mission to protect the lands and waters upon which all life depends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement donor strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major and principal gift donors.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with constituents, including major and principal gift donors, foundations, and corporations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet divisional and organizational goals.
  • Manage and track multiple prospects and donors, and utilize fundraising principles and practices to achieve results.
  • Stay up-to-date on current and evolving trends in charitable giving, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns, major and principal gifts, and planned giving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in cultivating and stewarding the development of a pipeline of new donors.
  • Experience in fundraising strategy development, focusing on identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and principal gift level donors.
  • Experience in building donor-specific strategies focused on High-Net-Worth Individuals and private foundations.
  • Fluency in an Asian language.
