Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Kansas Board of Regents invites applications for the Associate Director for Career Technical Education position. As a member of the Workforce Development unit, the successful candidate will collaborate with the Director for Career Technical Education to implement and support the Carl D. Perkins statewide plan.

The Associate Director will support institutions delivering Perkins-approved technical programs, coordinate the implementation of career guidance and preparation tools, serve as a liaison and provide technical assistance for Perkins Grant recipients, and manage additional State-funded grant initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and experience in postsecondary education or project administration, grant writing, reporting, and grant management. Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as organizational and presentation skills, are essential.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work and communicate with multiple agencies, constituents, and stakeholder groups, and be willing to travel within and outside of Kansas.
