Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, manage ventilators, and implement cardiorespiratory protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and advanced respiratory care responsibilities, including managing ventilators and implementing cardiorespiratory protocols.
  • Perform advanced airway care, including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation.
  • Initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators.
  • Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures, including monitoring and assessment of the level of consciousness, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems.
  • Deliver IV conscious sedation agents, including drugs in the classifications of opioids, benzodiazepines, and sedative hypnotics, and their reversal agents.
Requirements
  • Two to three years of college-level courses or an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care.
  • New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License and Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
  • ACLS and/or PALS, BLS required.
  • Six months to one year of critical care experience preferred.
