Browne Trading Company, a leading provider of caviar and seafood in Portland, is looking for a Seafood Processing Technician to enhance our team.


The responsibilities of the Seafood Processing Technician include:


  • Collaborating with the Cooler Manager and fellow team members within the department.
  • Processing fish to fulfill sales orders, which involves scaling, gutting, filleting, weighing, and icing.
  • Preparing completed orders for the packing team.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the cooler and adjacent areas, including trash disposal, cooler washing, tote cleaning, and re-icing products at the end of the shift.
  • Conducting initial and final inventory checks.
  • Organizing received products.

This role requires working in a cold environment for extended periods (appropriate clothing will be provided). Following precise instructions and adhering to operational sanitation standards is essential. Attention to detail, speed, and maintaining high-quality standards are critical. Effective communication with colleagues is vital.


A fish cutting assessment will be conducted prior to employment.
