Sterile Processing Technician

At Northern Light Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Instrument Processing: Assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions and hospital protocols.
- Instrument Tracking: Utilize the instrument tracking system to track individual instruments and sets throughout the decontamination, assembly, and storage processes.
- Quality Control: Inspect instruments for defects during cleaning, assembly, and wrapping processes, and test mechanical washers and sterilization equipment per protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other team members to facilitate departmental operations, maintain a clean and safe work area, and participate in continuing education programs.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
- Experience: Previous Sterile Processing Technician experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
