Healthcare Support Specialist

Position Overview
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the medical facility.
Department: Cardiology
Schedule: Full-Time, Days Mon. - Fri. 8AM - 5PM
Key Responsibilities
- Support the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Administer treatments as directed by the physician or registered nurse.
- Conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, and accurately document information in patient records.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient assessments.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, maintaining patient records, and organizing files.
- Manage inventory by ordering and restocking medical supplies.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Current BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Preferred certification as a Medical Assistant.
- National Medical Assistant (MA) Certification is preferred.
- Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) certification is preferred.
- Registration with the state as a BMO Operator is preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience required.
- Professional licensure/certification may substitute for education or experience.
