Position Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a crucial role within TerSera Therapeutics LLC, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Field Medical or Senior MSL/Executive MSL. This position serves as a vital field-based resource for the Medical Affairs Department, acting as a medical authority to convey

clinical insights and scientific information to key opinion leaders in both academic and community environments.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Development:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Engage with Academic and Community Opinion Leaders, Medical Societies, and Oncology Cooperative Groups.

Scientific Exchange:

  • Enhance the scientific knowledge of external stakeholders through effective scientific dialogue.

Field Insights:

  • Provide timely insights and competitive intelligence to the home office medical affairs and cross-functional teams.

Conference Participation:

  • Attend and report on significant national and regional medical conferences, ensuring that key internal stakeholders are informed.
  • Provide medical support at company-sponsored events and booths during these meetings.

Medical Information Support:

  • Address medical inquiries from healthcare professionals as they arise.

Training and Development:

  • Assist in the creation and delivery of training for cross-functional teams on relevant scientific topics.

Advisory Board Coordination:

  • Support the planning and execution of advisory board meetings and focus groups related to company interests.

Payer Engagement:

  • Deliver key presentations to payers in identified accounts as requested by the Medical Affairs home office.

Collaboration with R&D:

  • Work closely with Research and Development/Clinical teams to support ongoing or prospective research initiatives.

Investigator Support:

  • Act as a liaison between investigators and internal stakeholders to facilitate investigator-initiated research.

Cross-Functional Participation:

  • Engage actively in Medical Affairs and other cross-functional projects.
Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • PharmD, PhD, MD, or BSN/NP.

Experience:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a strong understanding of its operations.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic areas relevant to TerSera Therapeutics.
  • Clinical and/or research experience within the U.S. healthcare landscape.

Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in conveying complex scientific data effectively.
  • Demonstrated networking skills and the ability to build key relationships.
  • Proven teamwork, leadership, and results-oriented approach to achieving objectives.
  • Willingness to travel overnight 60-80% of the time.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
