Position Title: Survey Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple Land Survey teams, ensuring project oversight and coordination.
  • Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Directly handle complex Land Survey projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Supervise a team of 5 to 10 personnel, planning and scheduling field staff to meet project objectives.
  • Prepare and guide field crews in construction staking, topographic mapping, and other Land Survey tasks.
  • Generate survey-related deliverables, including computations, boundary plats, and topographic base plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.
  • Conduct administrative tasks such as managing timesheets, GPS logs, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Evaluate employee performance and assist in proposal cost estimation.
  • Commit to delivering high-quality service and collaborate with department managers.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports and assist with proposal submissions.
  • Review the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Professional Land Surveyor Registration in Illinois or the ability to obtain it within one year.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a project surveyor or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil3D is preferred.
  • Experience with field-to-finished deliverables and GPS data processing.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Field experience as Party Chief with a willingness to perform fieldwork as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
