Job Description

**Role Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled CPU Design Timing Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timing closure of our CPU projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement timing flows for CPU projects, including scripting to improve analysis efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CPU micro-architects and implementation engineers to drive timing closure for the CPU.
  • Perform timing analysis in high-speed digital designs, including CPUs and other similar designs.
  • Work with the CAD team to develop and improve physical design tools and methodology.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in static timing tools and methodology, including handling multiple clock and power domains, cross-talk, noise, OCV, etc.
  • Solid understanding of physical design tools and methodology, including logic synthesis, PnR, parasitic extraction, and logic equivalence.
  • Working knowledge of CPU micro-architecture, including common fundamental timing paths.
  • Familiarity with deep sub-micron technologies and scaling trends.
