Position Overview

The Surgical Services Technician plays a vital role in supporting the surgical team during procedures by ensuring the sterile environment is maintained and assisting with the preparation and transfer of patients. This position is essential in delivering high-quality surgical care, contributing to optimal patient outcomes and the overall success of the facility under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

As a representative of Chardon Surgery Center, every interaction shapes the perception of service quality. It is crucial to engage with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues in a courteous, supportive, and professional manner, promoting teamwork and positive interactions.

Position Qualifications
  • Licenses or Certifications: Completion of a Surgical Services Technician program is required. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support is preferred.
Education and Experience

A completed Surgical Services Technician program is mandatory, along with at least one year of experience in surgical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides safe patient care in accordance with RN directives and facility protocols
  • Exhibits the ability to respond to emergencies and perform CPR
  • Assists with patient discharges and delivers age-appropriate care
  • Demonstrates proficiency in required skills

  • Adheres to attendance policies and manages time effectively
  • Follows safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment
  • Operates equipment safely and manages financial responsibilities
  • Completes all assigned tasks diligently
