We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team and drive growth in our Functional Materials and Recycling business unit. This role requires a deep understanding of the metals market, proven sales leadership skills, and a commitment to sustainability practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent business acumen, and the ability to foster lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to promote the sale and recycling of minor metals and compound materials.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals for minor/rare metals and compound materials.
    • Identify new market opportunities and drive business expansion efforts.
    • Lead the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective management and motivational leadership.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.
    • Conduct regular client meetings and business reviews to assess satisfaction and uncover additional sales opportunities.
  • Market Analysis & Business Development:
    • Conduct market research to keep management informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential threats or opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and projects.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials and campaigns.
  • Recycling Initiatives:
    • Work with the sales and operations teams to secure spot and long-term contracts for EOL, waste, scrap, or other minor/rare metal containing recycling streams.
    • Promote the benefits of recycling to clients and stakeholders, positioning the company as a leader in sustainable practices.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
    • Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
