Facilities Maintenance Specialist Job Description

Job Overview:
  • Accountable for upholding the property’s standards in safety, aesthetics, and operational efficiency while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Identify and rectify issues related to HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, and appliances, among other responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and Equal Employment Opportunity policies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of relevant maintenance experience.
  • HVAC certification is preferred; a valid driver's license and dependable transportation are mandatory.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is preferred.
  • Possession of standard hand tools is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with residents and property personnel.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and maintenance expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding service to residents while upholding property standards.
  • Assess and prioritize service requests on a daily basis.
  • Prepare vacant units for incoming residents.
  • Oversee maintenance of pool/spa equipment, fitness machines, and laundry facilities.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as per company guidelines.
  • Attend team meetings and complete required training sessions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
