Position Overview:
The Facilities Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing financial oversight, site services, environmental health and safety (EHS), and project-related assistance within the Facilities Services division. This role also includes vendor management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage regularly with clients to clarify expectations, prioritize tasks, and coordinate maintenance schedules with the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) vendor.
- Conduct inspections of the facility and laboratory spaces, proactively reporting any deficiencies.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the facilities database systems and operational processes.
- Independently organize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of general site operations and facility management.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the organizational structure, operational culture, and effective work styles to achieve results in an innovative setting.
- Support the Energy and Sustainability teams by assisting in the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for both Soft and Hard Services in relation to the IFM Master Service Agreement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business-related field, along with 3-5 years of experience in a facilities management role; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume maintenance tasks across multiple buildings.
- Capability to delegate responsibilities as necessary.
- Familiarity with accounting and budgeting processes.
- Broad understanding of business drivers and key performance indicators.
- Knowledge of maintenance work order systems (CMMS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
