Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Science Director of Education to lead our NAACLS-accredited MLS program, a program that has developed laboratory professionals for 70 years and counting. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral degree in a related field, with a strong background in education and laboratory science. The Director will be responsible for the organization, administration, instruction, evaluation, continuous quality improvement, curriculum planning and development, directing other program faculty/staff, and general effectiveness of the MLS Education program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum for the MLS program
  • Lead and manage program faculty and staff
  • Ensure program accreditation and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with hospital and laboratory departments to ensure program relevance and effectiveness
  • Provide educational and training opportunities for laboratory professionals

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in a related field
  • Strong background in education and laboratory science
  • At least three years' teaching experience
  • Knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures
  • BLS within 30 days of employment
