At Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, we are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of patient information within our electronic health record system.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain the Master Patient Index (MPI) and purge process to ensure patient information is accurate and accessible.
- Provide timely and efficient responses to requests for patient information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure the highest quality product and customer service for patients and their families.
- Assist in monitoring the integrity of the medical record through continuous audit, reporting, and analysis of trends.
- Support the Health Information Department as needed, providing additional support functions as assigned by the Manager of Health Information.
- 1-2 years of experience in a health information office setting.
- Proven customer service experience and/or training.
- Prior experience with release of patient record information and knowledge of privacy regulations.
- Experience with Windows and Excel.
