Position Summary: We are in search of an Aviation Logistics Operations Strategist to join our team within the Marine Forces, Pacific (MARFORPAC) Aviation Logistics Division (ALD). This role involves providing expert advice to the Commander, executing directives related to aviation logistics, and representing the Commander across various Naval Aviation Enterprise levels. The primary goal is to enhance the combat readiness of operational forces through superior aviation logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
Assist MARFORPAC ALD in transforming the Naval aviation enterprise into a more efficient and effective organization. This includes understanding the available forces, resources, and capabilities necessary for logistics operations and preparing recommendations for operational logistics principles.
2. Daily Operations:
- Provide subject matter expertise for the development and refinement of Aviation Logistics (AVLOG) operational concepts and plans.
- Ensure comprehensive AVLOG management capabilities are in place to respond to crises effectively.
- Develop briefs and documentation outlining AVLOG requirements in support of operational plans and contingencies.
3. Coordination and Collaboration:
- Represent ALD in coordinating efforts across various divisions and commands.
- Support planning meetings and assist in the synchronization of aviation logistics employment and sustainment requirements.
4. Performance Assessment:
- Utilize systems such as the Defense Readiness Reporting System to conduct monthly assessments and maintain readiness.
- Lead and support Operational Planning Teams and other working groups as required.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct evaluations of exercise events and develop recommendations for future operations.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures for effective logistics planning.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Military specialization in Naval aviation with a minimum of ten years of experience in aviation logistics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine and command relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and the ability to work independently on high-visibility projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A BA/BS degree is preferred, with a focus on supply logistics or related fields.
- Prior experience with MARFORPAC ALD is advantageous.
