Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering background, emphasizing continuous improvement, quality assurance, and the execution of control plans.
This role demands expertise in APQP, PPAP, Six Sigma methodologies, Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.This is a remarkable opportunity for a qualified professional eager to contribute significantly in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, and uphold a thorough quality control program to guarantee ongoing production of goods that meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Direct and manage the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process to ensure effective control plans and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) are established.
- Apply Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen techniques to foster operational excellence and enhance processes.
- Encourage and facilitate the use of effective problem-solving methods for thorough root cause analysis and successful corrective actions.
- Lead regular quality meetings with team members to assess process quality and identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Educate and mentor team members on new quality processes and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with all organizational levels, suppliers, and clients in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management position within the engineering sector.
- Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with APQP and PPAP methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in both English and Spanish.
- Proficient leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
