Purpose and Summary Statement

GROWMARK, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomy Intern to join our team. As an Agronomy Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agronomy fieldwork, develop professional relationships with customers and FS locations, and contribute to the success of our organization.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with agronomy fieldwork, including hands-on experience with crop monitoring equipment and technology.
  • Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships and coordinate communication with multi-site contacts.
  • Schedule and carry out field activities and projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting, analyzing data, and making recommendations.
  • Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Gain understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Other Job Functions
  • Follow GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures, as applicable.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university, with good academic standing at the time of internship commencement.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
  • Frequently required to lift 51-70 pounds as needed, and potentially exposed to extreme weather conditions.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures, and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
