Job Title: Treatment Specialist

Join Management & Training Corporation (MTC) as a Treatment Specialist at the Henley State Jail in Dayton, Texas. Our team is dedicated to providing a safe and secure working environment while helping at-risk individuals receive the treatment necessary for success.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Treatment Specialist to provide didactic sessions, education, and life skills classes to assist offenders with basic education. The ideal candidate will maintain a Therapeutic Community (TC) within the facility, working closely with correctional staff to create a living environment that is peer-driven.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide didactic sessions according to designated curricula within the program.
  2. Maintain a Therapeutic Community (TC) within the facility.
  3. Guide and assist offenders in complying with facility rules and regulations.
  4. Monitor offender behavior and report incidents to appropriate treatment team staff.
  5. Maintain offender and other records regarding services provided.
  6. Assist with development of an Individual Progress Summary for each offender.
  7. Adhere to the core functions within practicum guidelines of Department of State Health Services LCDC-I licensure and Texas Certification Board of Addictions Professionals CCJP-A certification.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate's degree in the field of psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, criminal justice, education, nursing, or health is preferred.
  • Within 90 days of employment, candidate must have a letter of registration as a Counselor Intern (CI) from the Texas Department of State Health Services or a current certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional Applicant Status (CCJP-A) as approved by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.
