An Automotive Service Specialist is responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs on automotive systems, all while ensuring a superior customer experience. The Specialist is expected to engage in continuous learning to keep pace with the evolving automotive landscape and adhere to industry standards during all service operations.
A successful Specialist will also provide guidance and support to team members and maintain a clean and safe working environment.Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair automotive systems including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling systems, suspension, and alignment, while performing all routine maintenance services.
Fulfill the responsibilities of lower-tier positions (Mechanic and General Service Technician).Effectively communicate technical assessments and necessary repairs to non-technical individuals, including staff and customers, as needed.
Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay informed about the latest automotive technologies and techniques.
Assist fellow technicians in technical tasks.Keep management informed of any mechanical repair issues as they arise.
Maintain an organized and tidy workshop.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To assess your suitability for this role, please review the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of substantial automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
- Preferred: 2 or more ASE certifications (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes)
- Preferred: Section 609 certification
- Preferred: State Inspection license if applicable
- High motivation, energy, and a customer-centric approach.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
