We are currently seeking a skilled Technician to join our Vehicle Emission and Efficiency Lab (VEL) team in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle emission tests on a chassis dyno following industry regulations and standards.
- Prepare and set up test vehicles, analyzers, dyno, and other equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Perform SHED testing and record results to identify areas for improvement.
- Support equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Offer suggestions for process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Complete test documentation accurately and efficiently to meet regulatory requirements.
- Perform light mechanical work and maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the lab.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in emissions lab testing and analysis.
- Proficiency in operating emission analytical systems, chassis dynamometers, and SHEDs.
- Knowledge of SAE/EPA/CARB vehicle emission test procedures and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
- Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
