Position Summary
The Maintenance/Porter Technician plays a crucial role in upholding the physical integrity of our properties. This position involves assisting the management team by addressing maintenance requests and ensuring a welcoming environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Address maintenance issues in both occupied and vacant units.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas and outdoor spaces.
- Prepare apartments for new residents by performing cleaning, repairs, and necessary touch-ups.
- Replace light bulbs, filters, and locks as required.
- Conduct regular property inspections and report maintenance needs to management, suggesting appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Prioritize and manage service requests efficiently.
- At least two years of experience in a maintenance role.
- Experience in residential property maintenance is preferred.
- Must possess training and experience to safely handle hazardous materials associated with maintenance tasks.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous for effective communication with residents.
- The work environment may involve exposure to hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, and moving mechanical parts.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds, and performing tasks that require manual dexterity.
- Vision and hearing must be sufficient to perform job duties effectively.

Compensation
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $24 to $25.
