Nurse Responsibilities

As a nurse at Deer Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents. This includes:

  • Using infection control and prevention techniques to ensure a safe environment
  • Observing and adhering to participant diets and diet restrictions as prescribed by physicians
  • Directing daily meal service to ensure participants receive meals accurately and timely
  • Reporting any inadequacies in dietary or fluid intake to the Program/Health Director
  • Assisting in the provision of emergency care
  • Passing medications as needed
  • Completing treatments and other needs for residents as ordered by physicians

You will also be responsible for being personally involved with all aspects of resident care to assess its quality and reporting any concerns to the proper authorities.

Nurse Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a licensed RN in good standing in the state where employed
  • Successfully complete a training and competency evaluation program
  • Complete orientation required by company policy
  • Pass a health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment
  • Pass a mandatory drug test upon hire
  • Be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check
  • Provide satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within three days of hire
