Job Description

At Jacobsen|Daniels, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to support our key projects at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, WA.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated construction experience and be able to work within a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for enforcing construction standards and code regulations, reviewing project drawings and specifications, and preparing daily construction reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing inspections of construction project sites
  • Interacting with contractors regarding construction operations
  • Monitoring construction operations for conformance to project documents
  • Preparing and submitting inspection daily reports
  • Acting as the on-site liaison with clients and communities

Requirements include a minimum of a High School diploma or GED, a current valid US Driver's License, and a safe driving record. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one season of construction inspection work or two years of experience working for a construction company.

Specialized knowledge includes basic knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods, familiarity with State Department of Transportation construction practices, and basic understanding of construction jobsite safety requirements.

Skills include proficiency in basic computer operations, operating a smartphone or tablet, and accurately operating basic measuring, surveying, and engineering tools.

Abilities include basic reading and comprehension, basic math computations, understanding of units of measure, and ability to compute areas and volumes.

This is a remote, field office, or construction site-based position that requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain. The Project Coordinator will be provided personal protective equipment for their use while working on the construction site.

Physical requirements include working outdoors on an active construction site in all weather conditions, standing for extended periods, walking continuously, climbing ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching, and lifting objects up to 40 pounds.
