Job Overview

Bristol Infrastructure Design Services, LLC is in search of a skilled Construction Manager (CM) to support various infrastructure projects. The CM will deliver technical guidance and expertise throughout all construction phases across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate NAVFAC requirements and engage with multiple levels of authority to ensure decisive actions from all involved parties, including contractors and supported commands.
  • Evaluate pre-final contract drawings and specifications for constructability and alignment with actual site conditions.
  • Participate in pre-award contract discussions, including Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACDs) and constructability assessments.
  • Facilitate post-award contract meetings, such as kickoff sessions, preconstruction conferences, and final inspections.
  • Review contractor submissions, including schedules, environmental protection plans, and quality control plans, and provide timely recommendations for approval or rejection.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, gather input from quality assurance representatives, and review quality control reports.
  • Provide technical solutions to unforeseen construction challenges, ensuring minimal impact on project scope, cost, or schedule.
  • Deliver project status updates to senior government personnel.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for property record inventory and project closeout, ensuring compliance with established management systems.
  • Maintain communication with government sponsors regarding project status while independently managing assignments.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction operations supervision.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and practices relevant to construction.
  • Ability to communicate NAVFAC requirements effectively and engage at various authority levels.

Experience:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in roles such as Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Engineer, or Quality Control Manager on projects exceeding $5 million.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited institution is preferred.
