Job Summary

Hope House Colorado is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Teacher to join our team at the Hope House Early Learning Center. As an Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers, promoting their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with each child, family, and staff member, fostering a sense of trust and respect.
  • Provide Responsive Care: Offer individualized care to meet the unique needs of each child, ensuring their health and safety at all times.
  • Plan Engaging Activities: Develop and implement daily activities that stimulate learning and promote development in all areas, including physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Assess and Document Progress: Regularly assess each child's developmental needs and document progress using the Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment tool, sharing updates with parents.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with the leadership team and early intervention professionals to provide parents with referrals to early intervention services when necessary.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with Colorado Department of Human Services Licensing Regulations and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Regulations that govern child care facilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education, or a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with at least 36 college credit hours in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Credentials: PDIS Level 3 Credential and Infant Nursery Supervisor Credential (or willingness to obtain within six months of hire).
  • Experience: Experience working with children ages infancy through five, including lesson planning.
