Financial Reporting Specialist

The Financial Reporting Specialist position at VCU Health is a vital role that requires an expert in funds flow and transaction processing. This individual will process contract billing, inter-company billing, special payments to faculty, invoice processing, procurement, month-end reconciliations of expenses and payroll, and PCard expense monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process financial transactions with MCVP, VCU, MCV Foundation, and CHOR Foundation
- Monitor and reconcile Professional Expense Account (PEA) expenses to ensure budget is not exceeded for each physician, APP, and resident
- Provide processing guidance and training to Division staff on PEA and expense processing
- Prepare all deposits (excluding patient billing) for MCVP, VCU, and MCV Foundation
- Manage timekeeping and reporting for Surgery Administration, including API timekeeping and FMLA reports
- Coordinate fixed assets for the university
- Monitor Virginia license and DEA reimbursements, and request quarterly reimbursements from SOM
- Provide management reporting as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of three to five years of work experience in the finance/accounting field
- Previous experience with personal computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office and databases
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited program
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
