Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

About the Role:

  • Oversight of accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
  • Management of local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
  • Coordination of regulatory reporting and research of technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support for month-end and year-end close process, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Management and oversight of daily accounting department operations, monitoring and analyzing accounting data, and producing financial reports or statements
  • Establishment and enforcement of proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, coordination and completion of annual audits
  • Recommendations for improving systems and financial performance, participation in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership
  • Support for project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller with 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, financial modeling, and data analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams
  • Experience with budget preparation and financial forecasting
  • Experience with managing relationships with external auditors and overseeing regulatory reporting
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
