Your role will encompass making informed decisions regarding liability and compensability, assessing losses, and facilitating negotiations for settlements. You will engage with multiple stakeholders throughout the claims management process and receive targeted training aimed at enhancing your capabilities to provide outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of claims and assess compensability and liability.
- Develop action plans based on case specifics, industry best practices, and regulatory considerations.
- Conduct thorough investigations to verify coverage and ascertain liability, compensability, and damages.
- Evaluate policy coverage and determine reserve requirements.
- Negotiate settlements within designated authority limits.
- Execute additional assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient communication skills to foster effective relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 1 year in claims handling.
- Familiarity with legal liability, insurance coverage, and medical terminology is advantageous.
- Licensing may be necessary in certain jurisdictions.
