Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient satisfaction by meeting and exceeding stated expectations.
  • Provide alternatives to menu options as allowed on prescribed diets, taking into account food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
  • Interact with nursing staff to evaluate patient meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery, and tray retrieval processes.
  • Resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and report them to the supervisor as necessary.
  • Assist in the responsibility for all food service-related activities, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2 years of food service experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
  • Knowledge of food trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with management, clients, customers, and associate levels.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
