Senior Plumbing Engineer

At 120 Degreez MEP Engineering, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead our MEP systems design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing complex MEP systems for high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct comprehensive calculations and analysis related to load calculations, design, layouts, and distribution systems.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed MEP design packages, including plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to verify compliance with design intent and applicable regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to effectively communicate technical information and ensure project success.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in MEP engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance project performance and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in MEP engineering, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects.
- PE license acquired or willingness to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software tools for design and drafting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Thorough understanding of California building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to MEP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
