The Senior Cash Applications Specialist will play a critical role in supporting our finance team by providing day-to-day support for business unit customers and vendors through the entire procure-to-pay process. This includes seeking process improvement efficiencies and understanding corporate structures, business contacts, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to train and guide team members as needed.

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities
1. Address and resolve escalated issues related to invoicing and collection of money due to the company, including banking deposits.
2. Maintain accurate and complete client files and make recommendations to improve the quality of invoicing and collection procedures.
3. Monitor processing of invoices and ensure timely payments.
4. Review client documentation to ensure proper systems set up and compliance with correct accounting procedures.
5. Ensure proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
6. Train and provide guidance to Accounts Receivable/Payable team members; provide assistance as needed.
7. Maintain a process for tracking receipt of data and source documents.
8. Monitor and report on changes in payment standards.
9. Prepare and sort source documents and interpret data to be entered.
10. Contact preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data.
11. Perform data entry in the Accounts Payable/Account Receivable System from source documents, complete necessary coding, confirm accuracy of data, and make necessary corrections.

Requirements
* 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or AP/AR
* High School diploma or GED
* Proficient in MS Office suite
* Experience using automated financial and accounting systems
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong attention to detail and organization skills
