About the Opportunity

Pride Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Epic Administration Security Specialist for an 18-month contract with a possible extension. This is a remote opportunity, and the candidate must be based in Michigan or North-East Ohio as they may need to attend 2-3 meetings per year.

Estimated Salary: $40 - $43.50 per hour on W2

About the Role

The Senior Epic Administration Security Specialist will formulate and design the Epic systems security framework based on both user needs and a good understanding of the foundational structures of Epic software, including profiles, roles, menus, and security classes.

Responsibilities

  • Design system-level access and make appropriate access decisions in conjunction with application coordinators/analysts.
  • Work with application teams to create security classifications with suitable menus within Epic software.
  • Create procedures for new users to receive login authorization, passwords, and training on proper system security.
  • Establish procedures for inactivating users who should no longer access the system.
  • Participate in technical reviews and inspections to verify that the 'intent of change' is carried out throughout the entire project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of applicable work experience required.
  • MUST HAVE experience using basic commands in SQL.
  • NICE TO HAVE experience with Unix.
  • NICE TO HAVE experience with different ticketing systems.
  • Will train on proprietary software that communicates with Epic; Epic experience is not required.
  • Five (5) years of applicable experience in a Healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Experience with at least two (2) major Epic implementations or upgrades.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
