Job Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist is accountable for the precise documentation of all inbound, onsite, and outbound third-party materials. This role involves entering all non-freight orders for invoicing and ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough and accurate inventory of customer products, including conducting cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Ensure that all customer and commodity files are current and accurate within the inventory management system.
- Develop strategies to enhance inventory control processes.
- Document daily deliveries and shipments to ensure inventory reconciliation.
- Oversee inventory across all warehouse locations.
- Manage customer invoicing tasks.
- Coordinate deliveries between various warehouse sites.
- Assist staff with RF scanning operations.
- Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality.
- High School Diploma.
- Proficient in Data Entry.
- Experience with RF Scanning.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Previous experience in inventory management or a related field with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Analytical mindset with solid mathematical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and adhere to the company's drug-free workplace policies.
- Employees are expected to take reasonable care of their health and safety in all environments. This is particularly important in the workplace, where actions can impact both personal and others' safety. Cooperation in receiving proper training, understanding, and adhering to the company's health and safety policies, as well as reporting unsafe conditions, is essential.
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, handle/feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and hear.
- Capable of lifting/moving up to 40 lbs.
- Vision capabilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This is a non-supervisory role.
- Some travel may be required for this position.
