Job Title: X-Ray/CT Technologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated X-Ray/CT Technologist to join our team at Panna Knows. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized diagnostic imaging exams using computed tomography (CT) and radiographic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and examine requisitions for procedures to ensure accurate and safe patient care.
  • Consistently produce high-quality CT and radiographic images.
  • Question patients before procedures to obtain relevant medical history and document all necessary information.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams by following established medical imaging requirements and regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Perform basic nursing functions and maintain a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, patient care, positioning, and radiographic exposure principles.
  • Operate CT and radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images.
  • Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.
  • Perform positioning techniques for ultrasound scanning and maintain familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Ensure equipment remains in working order and report malfunctions to the Practice Manager or supervisor.
  • Perform related administrative duties, including completing necessary forms and maintaining procedure logs.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or higher in Diagnostic Radiography or a related field.
  • Valid New York State license to practice Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Valid New York State license to inject contrast material (if required).
  • Either a valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in another modality or cross-trained to perform the functions of another modality.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
