Community Support Specialist Position

We are seeking a qualified mental health professional to fill a community support specialist position in Richmond, VA. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $26-$30 per hour, depending on experience.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with other personnel to provide community-based mental health support services, including family and individual case management, crisis intervention, and life skills training to clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a human service field or special education from an accredited college, or a non-related field with a master's or doctoral clinical program. They will also have clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, or receiving gerontology or special education services.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Delivering case management and trainings for individuals in specific life and social skills areas
  • Providing transportation to appointments as needed
  • Coordinating and integrating services
  • Scheduling and attending clinical supervisions

The selected candidate will exhibit expertise in therapeutic interventions, life skills, case management, and crisis intervention skills. Additionally, they must hold certification in First Aid and CPR, a valid Virginia Driver's License, and proof of insurance.
