About the Purchasing Clerk Position:

Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to assist with the acquisition of materials, supplies, and equipment for the company's operations. The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing transactions.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain product or service information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed.
  • Resolve discrepancies with orders, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Coordinate with various departments to determine their product and service needs.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and documentation.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and developing new sources of supply.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure prompt delivery and resolve any issues.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk or in a similar role and familiarity with purchasing-invoices.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain procedures and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
