Job Overview

An Aircraft Fueling Specialist is tasked with the fueling and maintenance of aircraft, ensuring the safe and effective use of equipment involved in fueling operations.

  • Conduct fueling and de-fueling tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain precise records of fuel transactions.
  • Execute de-icing procedures as necessary.
  • Keep fueling equipment in a clean and operational state.
  • Ensure proper loading and balancing of fuel.
  • Utilize fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts for aircraft fueling.

Key Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are essential to the role, in addition to those outlined above. Tasks may be performed in various weather conditions, including precipitation, extreme temperatures, and exposure to jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. Duties are carried out both indoors and outdoors, near stationary and moving aircraft.

  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate verbally.
  • Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Operate company vehicles safely.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations related to weight, measurement, and volume.
  • Effectively communicate in English with others in person, via telephone, radio, and in writing for job duties and safety purposes.
  • Wear the designated uniform and insignia as required by the Company.
  • Report to work consistently and punctually.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or GED; three (3) to six (6) months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, and maintain eligibility for an airport security badge, as well as be insurable under the company's insurance policies.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
  • Preferred knowledge of fueling and de-fueling procedures for various aircraft, de-icing methods, and fueling protocols for ground equipment.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license is required.
  • Successful completion of the Company's PST program is necessary.
  • Commercial Driver License may be required for specific locations.
