Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Gastroenterology

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our Gastroenterology team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for coordinating and promoting patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This includes assessing patients and their families, developing and implementing plans of care, and providing health education related to health promotion and the management of acute and chronic health conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize multiple platforms to complete a nursing assessment of patients and their families consistent with age and condition.
  • Develop and implement plans of care in accordance with regulatory and organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide health education related to health promotion and the management of acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Coordinate care and manage care transitions within the organization and the community.
  • Advocate for patients and families, offering support and guidance related to navigating ambulatory services and processes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years RN experience in a clinic and/or hospital environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team, patient, and family to promote positive outcomes and prevent complications.
