Position Summary:
The Compliance Risk Analyst will be an integral part of the Risk Management team, reporting directly to the Compliance Officer. This role is essential in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
The Compliance Risk Analyst will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough investigations into potential suspicious activities related to client accounts and preparing detailed reports.
- Assisting in the evaluation of complex transactions to identify any irregularities.
- Analyzing transaction patterns and customer account activities to detect inconsistencies.
- Utilizing various proprietary software tools to communicate findings effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a compliance or risk management role is required.
- Familiarity with BSA/AML regulations, the USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and CIP requirements.
- Experience in banking operations, particularly in treasury, loans, or deposits, is preferred.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly in spreadsheet and database reporting tools.
- Basic knowledge of financial compliance software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess transactions and trends.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
